About Me

Coaching overwhelmed Moms of young kids to create time for self care, lose weight, and optimize their health 

Hello! I'm so excited you're here!  Allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Tanya Valentine and I'm a Mother of 3, a wife, Registered Nurse and a Life Coach School Certified Coach.  I am passionate about working with moms of little ones get their body back post baby (even if it's been years since you birthed that baby).  I have always been passionate about health and wellness, specifically exercise.  Exercise has been a way of life for me.  I have always been in tune with the way it makes me feel, not only physically, but even more importantly the mental benefits exercise has provided in my life.  I have found that exercise has saved me through bouts of depression.  It improves my mood which then helps me be a better mom, friend, wife, and all around be the best version of myself.  Exercise gives me energy and improves mental clarity and focus. I have been able to lose the baby weight after having had all 3 children and not by depriving myself, either.  I am not saying this to make you feel bad about yourself at all, please do not hear me say that.  But rather, to be an example of what is possible.  I want you to know that it IS possible for you.  The reason it has been possible for me is that I have been of the mindset that this is a priority for me. It is a non-negotiable. I like how I feel when I have worked out.  I feel like it is just as important to find time to exercise as it is to find time to take a shower or brush my teeth.

My journey to become a Life Coach began with a very traumatic experience.  In April 2021 I found myself in a situation where I was facing my own mortality.  I experienced a miscarriage at 14 weeks gestation that left me in the hospital in need of 2 blood transfusions and surgery.  I was so fearful that I was going to lose my life and I was not ready to go.  I couldn't bear the thought of leaving my babies (who were 3 and 1 at the time).  After it was all over, although I was experiencing grief over the loss of my baby, I was also overcome with immense gratitude for my life.  I was getting a second chance.  But then I thought, "I gotta make this count".  Although I was very grateful for this life I had been afforded, and I appreciated the many blessings in it, I wanted something else.  I wanted to do more, I wanted to make the most out of this gift of life.  I wanted to find my life's purpose, find something I was passionate about that would help me feel like I was making my own unique contribution to the world and to my family.

So life post miscarriage led me on a spiritual path of self discovery.  I sought therapy, began meditation, read the Bible, prayed, listened to podcasts and read books in the personal growth and development genre.  And then, I discovered LIFE COACHING.  It was truly the answer to my prayers.  It opened up a whole new world for me that I didn't even know existed.  From this day forward, my life would never be the same.  I was changing the way I was thinking, it opened up my eyes to the infinite possibilities in my life.  I learned to be a creator of my life instead of a manager of my circumstances.  I learned that I get to decide what to believe, I get to decide what things mean.  No one can ever force you to believe in something.  And in this way you are always in control.  Overall, life coaching has helped me to feel more in control of my life, even amidst chaos. I've gone from being a victim to feeling empowered, I have become so much more efficient with my time, my productivity has sky rocketed, I'm making healthier decisions like the decision I made to eliminate alcohol from my life, and I find that I am so much more patient and present with my kids.  Don't get me wrong, I am NOT super human and I am far from perfect.  I still have my trials and bad days.  However, given what I've learned through coaching I am able to come out of a funk so much faster and easier than ever before.

I want this for you.  I am so excited about everything I've learned and continue to learn through life coaching that I just want to shout it from the rooftops and help anyone I can.  I can help you lose the weight with my weight loss program which helps you learn to reprogram your mind, ditch old destructive habits, and replace them with healthy rituals.  I can help you create more time in your day, declutter and calm the mind to give it more direction, clarity and focus.  This will allow you to live with more intention and purpose, creating a sense of peace, calm and confidence within yourself and in your motherhood.
