The first step in making any sort of change in your life is that of awareness. We must first understand where you are now in order to get to where you want to go. It's like looking at one of those maps in the middle of the mall, you look for the "you are here" sign in order to figure out how to get where you want to go.
So you say you want more time. Your life would be so much easier if you just had more time. How are you spending your time now?
I am going to introduce a tool to you that is going to change your life.
When I first did this, it opened up my eyes to all the things I was wasting my time on that I really didn't want to or need to be doing. I was not even conscious of these things that were costing me precious time.
I learned that it was my beliefs getting in the way of me managing and organizing my time more productively, in a way that felt good to me. One example of this is that I used to believe I had to do everything. That I SHOULD be able to do everything. Instead of comparing myself to others and feeling inspired by everything they were able to juggle, I felt inadequate and like I just had to push through. I would think of my Grandmother and the fact that she had 4 kids ages 5 and under AND in the age of cloth diapers AND without the modern day conveniences we are blessed to have today like instacart, the internet, or cell phones. I would think to myself if she could do it then I should be able to manage all of this, taking care of the kids, going to work, cleaning the house, preparing meals. I had this belief that if its something I am capable of doing, then I shouldn't "waste" money paying someone else to do it. For the longest time my friends and family would suggest that I hire a house cleaner. I avoided it for so long because of these beliefs I had. Doing this time audit made me realize all of the time I was "wasting" cleaning my house. I was so worried about "wasting" money that I was "wasting" the most valuable asset known to any human on this Earth, TIME.
The tool is THE TIME AUDIT. I must give credit to The Life Coach School, which is where I learned this valuable tool.
You want to make a change? Take action. Set aside at least 10 minutes to answer these questions honestly. If you do this, I promise the reward will be well worth the 10 minute time investment. Think of gaining 1 hour for the 10 minutes of time invested. WELL WORTH IT.
Get ready. Get out a writing utensil (I say writing utensil knowing that some of y'all might just have crayons and markers readily available, totally fine and encouraged ;)) and a paper, and answer the following questions honestly.
1. If time is our most valuable asset, it’s important that we understand what we currently use time for. How do you currently use your time? Take some time right now to write down how you used your 24 hours yesterday. Make a list below of everything you spent time on. Make sure to include driving, eating, sleeping, phone calls, scrolling through social media. The more detailed you are, the better.

At the end of the day, only actions create results. Actions take time. Actions create time. Our actions determine our time. Thoughts create feelings which are the fuel for our actions. This means ultimately OUR THOUGHTS CREATE OUR TIME. So next let's discover what your thoughts about time are.

One quote that I like to live my life by is this one from Einstein:
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results".
Just today I had to remind myself of this. My 10 year old dog, Lady, has been peeing on the floor. Every time I return home, I find dog pee in the same spot in our kitchen and it drives me crazy. Today I had to remind myself of this quote and I thought "ok I need to try something different". So I put her in a crate before I left the house, and was very pleased when I returned home and didn't have to clean up dog pee on the floor! Why it took me so long to do this I don't know, I could've saved myself a lot of time and frustration. This is all to prove my point. Save yourself the time and frustration of trying to figure this out on your own and hire a coach. Click here to sign up for your free 30 minute mini session now.
