Happy Mother’s Day, mamas!

This episode is a tender and emotional one. It’s not your typical Mother’s Day message—and yet, it’s exactly what my heart needed to hear, and maybe yours does too.

This past week, tragedy hit close to home. A little boy in my daughter’s school unexpectedly passed away, and it’s left me feeling heavy, heartbroken, and reflective. As a mom, I just couldn’t stop thinking about his mother… and what it means to truly cherish the time we have.

In this episode, I share:

  • The heartbreaking story that shook me this week

  • Why this moment reminded me to slow down and focus on what truly matters

  • Two timely podcast episodes from Pastor Rick Warren that brought me comfort

  • A powerful conversation from Oprah’s podcast about near-death experiences that gave me a deeper sense of peace and perspective

  • A loving reminder to give yourself grace and choose gratitude, even in the middle of the mess

This isn’t an easy listen—but it’s an important one. It’s a nudge to stop sweating the small stuff. To hug your babies tighter. To remember that this life we’re living, even in all its chaos and imperfections, is a gift.

Mentioned in today’s episode:

I hope this episode gives you permission to pause. To breathe. To reconnect with what matters most—not just today, but every day.

I’d love to hear your thoughts or anything this episode stirred in you. Feel free to share something you’re walking through in the comments section below.

Also, quick addendum if you listened to last weeks episode when I interviewed Kelsey Cook from Learning with Kelsey...

I mistakenly said you could use the code MOMENTUM at checkout to get 15% off your Learning with Kelsey activity box—but that was my bad!

Here’s how to actually get the discount:

Just click this link. It will redirect you to the Learning with Kelsey website and automatically apply your 15% off when you check out. Super easy!

If you have any trouble or questions, feel free to reach out to me—I’m always happy to help.

And while I’ve got your attention, I have to tell you how much I genuinely love these boxes. Serena and I have been having so much fun with them—and even my older two have been getting in on the action!

Here’s what I love most:

  • A full month of activities is already planned out, which makes it way more likely that I’ll actually do them with my kids!

  • It saves me so much mental energy and time—no more Pinterest rabbit holes trying to find crafts or learning ideas.

  • All the supplies are included, so there’s no last-minute store runs or scrambling for glue sticks.

  • And let’s be real: it helps with decision fatigue. When everything’s prepped and laid out, it’s just easier to say yes to fun.

Seriously, these boxes have become one of my favorite things. Give them a try and let me know what you think!
